Green Coffee Beans

Green coffee is essentially a blind commodity - which means that you must trust who you are buying from. After doing my initial research in 2010, I joined the Green Coffee Buying Club (GCBC), which turned out to be an excellent choice.

The GCBC has a large community of home roasters, most of whom are eager to help new members learn how to do their own home roasts. Based on what I learned there, I have bought green coffee from various sites on the internet. I have listed the ones that I purchased from in the last few years:

1. About 80% of my green coffee comes from the Green Coffee Buying Club. This is a members-only web site.
    
2. About 10% of my green coffee comes from Sweet Marias.
    
3. There are a few specialty coffees that I buy from Klatch Roasting each year - Panama Elida and Gedeo Worka.
    
4. I also purchased coffee from Leverhead and Mill City Roasters recently.
